China independents process record high feedstock

Singapore-China’s independent refiners in eastern Shandong province continued to boost their throughput in April and processed a record high volume of feedstock in the month, supported by healthy refining margins. The average run rate of 38 refineries surveyed by Beijing-based energy information provider JYD Commodities Hub in the region was 58.3% in April, up from 54.4% in March, according to Platts calculations.
