Delta expects to pay more for jet fuel in the third quarter

New York-Delta Air Lines, the nation’s second largest airline, expects to pay more for fuel in the third quarter, with average costs ranging between $1.52/gal and $1.57/gal, a company executive said Thursday. During the second quarter, Delta paid on average $1.38/gal to buy physical jet fuel for their planes, CFO Paul Jacobson said on the second quarter conference call.
