Crude imports by China independents slow

Crude arrivals for independent refiners in China's eastern Shandong province are expected to see some slowdown in May, mainly due to continuous port congestion and planned maintenance. In April, a total 6.51 million mt, or an average 1.59 million b/d, of crude oil was imported for independent refiners, up 22% compared with March, according to a latest survey by Platts.
