Washington-A lawyer for the $3.7 billion Dakota Access crude pipeline told a federal judge Wednesday that any injunction against the project to address a North Dakota tribe’s complaints could cause the company to miss its year-end startup target. “It’s really urgent for us to get a decision here,” Bill Leone said, adding that even a weeklong injunction “poses a critical threat to this project.” The 30-inch-diameter pipeline is designed to carry 470,000 b/d of crude from the Bakken and Three Forks production areas through South Dakota and Iowa, ending at existing pipeline networks in Patoka, Illinois.
