DNO, Genel boost capacity at Kurdistan's Tawke field

Norwegian DNO has increased the production capacity of its Tawke oil field, its main producing asset in northern Iraq, after completing three new production wells. The Tawke-31 well, targeting the main Cretaceous reservoir will be brought on production following an acid stimulation program, DNO said in a statement Wednesday. Two additional wells targeting the shallow Jeribe reservoir-Tawke-33 and Tawke-34-are also being prepared for production. DNO said it will drill a fourth well, Tawke-37, next week. The total cost of the four wells is less than $20 million.
