Kuwaiti court rules domestic gasoline price hikes illegal

Kuwait's administrative court ruled Wednesday that the government's move to raise gasoline prices in the domestic market was illegal without approval from the Supreme Petroleum Council, the state's highest hydrocarbons policy body. The court, however, rejected requests by Kuwaiti politicians to have the price hike suspended immediately, the Kuwait Times reported Thursday.
