NYMEX RBOB climbs on BP refinery maintenance

New York-NYMEX April RBOB settled 3.16 cents higher to $1.4589/gal after BP’s 430,000 b/d Whiting, Indiana, refinery was heard to have entered planned maintenance. RBOB’s increase-the per barrel equivalent of $1.33-outpaced the rest of the oil complex. NYMEX April crude settled 47 cents higher at $39.91/b, while ICE May Brent settled up 34 cents at $41.54/b. NYMEX April ULSD was almost unchanged, settling down 17 points at $1.2374/gal. BP’s 430,000 b/d Whiting, Indiana, refinery, has begun planned maintenance on a vacuum tower that will last between two and two-anda-half weeks, a source familiar with operations at the refinery said Monday.
