BP has shut the Clair oil field in the UK North Sea after a leak from its production platform on Sunday morning, the company said Monday. The field, which had been producing around 25,000 b/d, was closed after an oil leak was detected as a result of a technical issue with the platform's water, oil and gas separation unit.
