Russian authorities have been pushing hard this month to sell stakes in the country's biggest and fastest growing oil producers, Rosneft and Bashneft, to help plug the hole in state coffers caused by the oil price slump. Despite industry misgivings over Moscow's wisdom for selling at the bottom of the market, the government last week decided on the "privatization order" for these and other companies and started selecting consultants.
