Kuwait lifts lid on oil sector privatization plan

Dubai-Kuwait could become the next Persian Gulf state to begin privatizing its oil sector, with the government set to roll out a series of reforms, following Saudi Arabia’s announcement it will sell shares of its stateowned oil giant Saudi Aramco. Khalifa Hamada, Kuwait’s finance ministry undersecretary, outlined the privatization of the Gulf state’s oil sector, with a portion of Kuwait Petroleum Corp., or KPC to be offered to the public.
