Astomos delivers LPG cargo via expanded Panama Canal

Japan’s top LPG supplier Astomos Energy said Monday it has delivered its first LPG cargo via the expanded Panama Canal on VLGC Lycaste Peace at Tokyo Gas’ Negishi import terminal. This was the first commercial tanker to transit the expanded Panama Canal, on June 27. The US to Japan voyage through the Panama Canal took 29 days, instead of around 45 days when the vessel has to go around the Cape of Good Hope.
