New York-Strong gasoline demand has been driving US refining profitability, but questions as to exactly how strong this demand is have begun to surface, particularly over uncertainty over export data. More will be revealed on where demand actually is as refiners release first quarter earnings. PBF Energy and Marathon Petroleum will hold analyst calls on Thursday. Analysts most certainly will ask where company exports are in order to see the bigger picture of gasoline demand.
