Cairn upbeat over rig rate boost for senegal drilling

London-UK-based Cairn Energy said Tuesday it hopes to benefit from falling drilling costs as it plans more wells in a closely-watched deepwater exploration campaign off Senegal later this year. Cairn and its partners plan to drill at least three more exploration and appraisal wells off the West African country in late 2015 to fol- low up on two promising oil discoveries made last year, the company said.
