Maersk still plans for growth after Qatar field loss

Copenhagen-Denmark’s Maersk Oil said it still has plans for growth in output of other new projects in the wake of the loss of its current main producing asset, the Al-Shaheen field in Qatar. “Maersk Oil is growing as a result of improved operating performance and with major projects like Culzean in the UK and Johan Sverdrup in Norway, we continue adding new production through to the end of the decade,” said CEO Jakob Thomasen.
