Nigeria misses chance to pass oil law

Lagos-Nigeria’s House of Representatives, the lower legislative chamber, failed again last week to approve key oil reform legisla- tion after it suspended clause-by-clause debate on the long-delayed bill, according to lawmakers. The house’s failure to approve the Petro- leum Industry Bill dashes hopes of getting the legislation through parliament any time soon and rekindling investment in the country’s oil industry and boosting production.
