Tehran-Iran has issued instructions for fuel oil and diesel to be bunkered at Qeshm Island and other Iranian coastal locations, oil ministry news service Shana reported Tuesday, setting the stage for the country’s planned push to challenge UAE dominance of the vessel-fueling sector in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. In a decree, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh instructed National Iranian Oil Co.’s international affairs department to prioritize bunkering operations in the Gulf of Oman, Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea.
