London—Bashneft, a spearhead of Russia’s oil production growth, will hold to its current course despite a battle that reversed its privatization, and plans to replenish its production through improved drilling and exploration, CEO Alexander Korsik has said. He also said the company continued to see Europe as its main market, despite Russia’s wider efforts to diversify the customer base for its oil and gas exports.
