Vopak sells Swedish terminals in shift to Asia

London—Dutch tank storage operator Vopak said Wednesday that it has sold its Swedish entity Vopak Sweden as part of a response to a refocusing of the global energy markets from the West to the East. Vopak, the world’s largest independent tank storage company by capacity, sold its four terminals in Sweden—Gothenburg, Gavle, Malmo and Sodertalje—to Canada-based transportation and storage company Inter Pipeline, it said in a statement.
