DONG not looking to close oil fields to cut costs

Copenhagen—Denmark’s DONG Energy said Friday it was not looking at closing down fields or reducing operations on the Danish shelf despite dire oil prices. Flemming Horn Nielsen, the head of DONG’s Danish upstream business, said his company and all groups operating offshore Denmark were acutely conscious of the negative effects of the plunge in oil prices and was continuing its war on costs.
