IOC starts processing crude at new Paradip refinery

State-owned Indian Oil Corp. has started processing crude at its greenfield 15 million mt/ year (300,000 b/d) Paradip refinery after several delays, a senior company official said Monday. The official could not give other details. The refinery, which has missed successive commissioning deadlines since 2012, was last scheduled to begin start-up in February this year. The entire refinery, including the secondary units, was expected to start up gradually in phases.
