Delta restructures fuel hedges on lower crude costs

New York-Delta Air Lines is restructuring its fuel hedge book to reflect the sharp drop in crude oil and subsequent fuel costs in 2015 by “monetizing the market contango,” a company executive said Tuesday. “We are confident we can work at tweak- ing our hedge book,” Delta President Ed Bastian said during a webcast presentation at the J.P. Morgan Aviation, Transportation and Industrials Conference underway in New York City.
