Israel rejects compensation ruling over Iranian oil

Jerusalem-Israel has vowed not to make any payments to Iran following a reported arbitra- tion ruling by a Swiss court that, if confirmed, would require Israel to pay $1.1 billion in compensation for Iranian oil bought by Israel in the late 1970s. The reported ruling and Israeli reaction come as world powers continue talks with Iran ahead of an end-June deadline to come to a final agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program, which could see oil sanctions against Iran lifted.
