Sinochem eyes oil product exports

Singapore—China’s state-run Sinochem is gearing up to start product exports from the first quarter of next year, joining other stateowned refiners who are pushing cargoes to overseas markets to offset the pressure from high run rates and weak domestic appetite. A Sinochem source said Wednesday its 12 million mt/year (240,000 b/d) Quanzhou refinery in the Fujian province will likely start exporting as it is expecting approval from the National Development and Reform Commission in about a month.
