SinoChem’s 4 million cu m crude storage facility almost full

China’s state-owned oil company SinoChem has almost filled its 4 million cu m (25.16 million barrels) commercial crude storage facility in Weifang, Shandong province, sources close to the matter said this week. It received a 260,000-mt cargo of Oman crude at Qingdao port last week, and in May, the company imported around 400,000 mt of crude in two cargoes. The source said that this brought its year-to-date imports to about 2 million mt, making the facility almost full.
