Jakarta—Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina will take over the trading activities of its subsidiary Petral starting this month following recommendations made by a special reform team set up Energy Minister Sudirman Said to review oil and gas policies in an effort to end corruption in the sector. “Pertamina will take over Petral’s tasks. So we will invite bids for crude and refined products to meet the company’s needs starting this month,” a Pertamina official, who declined to be named, said Tuesday.
