BPC aims to restart tender process for oil imports

Dhaka—State-owned Bangladesh Petroleum Corp. plans to start seeking crude and oil product imports through tenders from as early as this month after a 15-year gap, BPC Chairman A M Badrudduja told Platts Tuesday. The move will be a shift from its current system of direct term deals with international suppliers and is in line with a directive from the country’s energy ministry, he added.
