Colombia’s Reficar to hit full rates in Q1 2015

Bogota—Construction on Colombia’s new Reficar refinery is nearing completion and will begin processing crude oil in the fourth quarter of this year with full operations slated to start in March 2015 its parent company, state-controlled Ecopetrol, said Tuesday. Ramp up of the 165,000 b/d facility in Cartagena began this week after placement of a 121-meter tower that is an integral part of the industrial services section of the refinery, including management and release of process gases, Ecopetrol said.
