IOC targets more Mexican, Kuwaiti crudes

Singapore—State-run refiner Indian Oil Corp. plans to step up imports of heavier crudes from suppliers such as Mexico and Kuwait when its refinery in the eastern state of Odisha is fully operational, a senior IOC official said Thursday. The 15 million mt/year (300,000 b/d) Paradip refinery, which is inching closer to being commissioned, would help IOC to diversify its crude import basket, IOC’s executive director Siddharta Mitra told Platts on the sidelines of the 19th Annual Condensate and Naphtha Forum organized by Conference Connection in Singapore.
