London-Norwegian oil services company Subsea 7 Tuesday announced deep cuts to its global staffing levels and said it would axe 25% of its offshore fleet as it repositions for lower demand for drilling in the North Sea. The company, whose focus is on the North Sea, said the move was the result of the diffi- cult business and economic conditions in the oil and gas market and declining workload.
