New York-Oil futures closed lower Thursday as the US dollar rebounded from Wednesday’s decline and Kuwait’s oil minister pledged to keep OPEC’s production ceiling unchanged. ICE May Brent settled down $1.48 at $54.43/barrel, while NYMEX April crude ended 70 cents lower at $43.96/b. In refined products, NYMEX April ULSD settled 5.02 cents lower at $1.7223/gal. NYMEX April RBOB closed 2.48 cents softer at $1.7743/gal.
