London—Oil supply from outside the OPEC group will fall by 600,000 b/d in 2016 as US tight oil production continues contracting, increasing the likely demand for OPEC oil, the International Energy Agency said Friday. In its November oil market report, the IEA estimated non-OPEC supply next year at 57.7 million b/d, down 100,000 b/d from last month’s report. It estimated the “call” on OPEC — or the assumed need for OPEC oil — at 31.3 million b/d next year, an increase of 200,000 b/d on last month’s report.
