Peru’s November oil, gas output rises on new fields

Lima—Peruvian crude oil, condensate and natural gas output rose in November on production starting at jungle fields operated by Perenco, Cepsa and Repsol, the government said Monday. Crude oil production rose 9.2% to 69,891 b/d from 64,020 b/d a year ago, the Energy & Mines Ministry said in a report. Perenco’s Block 67 and Cepsa’s Block 131 oil fields in the northern Maranon basin, both of which started production in December 2013, added 65,987 b/d and 6,400 b/d in output, respectively, on top of higher output from Ecopetrol’s offshore Block Z-2B field and BPZ Energy’s Z-1 field, the ministry said.
