Singapore-India’s federal budget for fiscal year 2015-16 (April-March) presented on Saturday slashed the estimated fuel subsidy payout for the year by half from the previous year, but did not do much to ease the subsidy burden borne by state-owned upstream companies, which in turn has an impact on their investment ability.
