Singapore-China’s recently unveiled plan to roll out Euro-VI emission standards across the country in under four years is not expected to have a big impact on the country’s refining sector with most of the burden to meet the new standards falling on the auto industry. The National Development and Reform Commission announced last week that it would introduce National Phase 6 specifications from 2019. However, no details have been released on the standard, which is expected to be passed into law by the end of next year.
