Yasref refinery starts on-spec diesel supply

Singapore—Yasref refinery, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sinopec, supplied its maiden diesel cargo from Yanbu on Thursday, a source familiar with the matter said Friday. The 300,000-barrel cargo of 500 ppm sulfur grade will be going to Saudi Arabia’s domestic market in Jeddah, sources said. Aramco Trading had chartered an LR1 tanker, the BW Krongborg, to lift 40,000 mt of diesel from Yanbu on Thursday for a voyage to Jeddah, shipping sources said.
