Hilcorp’s Alaska output grows, adds rigs

Anchorage-Hilcorp Energy is increasing its Alaska Cook Inlet production and plans addi- tional investments of $300 million-$350 mil- lion this year in spite of the skid in oil prices, a company official said last week. Greg Lalicker, Hilcorp’s president and CEO, told state legislators in a briefing that Cook Inlet production has reached about 40,000 b/d of oil equivalent, and the company’s acquisition of holdings in three North Slope producing fields last November has added another 20,000 boe/d.
