Petrobras’ Brazil crude output slips in February

Rio de Janeiro-Petrobras posted a decline in crude oil output in Brazil for a second consecutive month in February, as maintenance work shut three offshore platforms, the company said last week. The state-led company produced an average of 2.146 million b/d of crude in February, down 2.1% from January’s output of 2.192 million b/d, it said. Including oil produced on behalf of partners in Petrobras-operated fields, output averaged 2.319 million b/d in February, also down 2.1% from the 2.37 million b/d registered in January, Petrobras said.
