US natural gas stocks rise 65 Bcf to 2.977 Tcf

Houston—US natural gas in storage increased 65 Bcf to 2.977 Tcf in the week that ended August 7, the US Energy Information Administration said Thursday. The net injection was above consensus expectations of a build of between 53 Bcf and 57 Bcf. In the corresponding week in 2014, EIA reported a 79-Bcf increase, while the fiveyear average is for a 48-Bcf injection.
