Chevron sees output growth through 2017

New York-Chevron expects 20% global pro- duction growth through 2017 to 3.1 billion b/d of oil equivalent from the 2.6 million boe/d in 2014 despite a cut in exploration and production spending, CEO John Watson said Tuesday. Despite falling crude oil prices, long-term fundamentals remain attractive, and the compa- ny has already reduced its capital expenditures and expanded asset sales, Watson said at the company’s annual analyst day in New York.
