Baghdad-KRG talks underway, no deal yet on revenues

Talks between Iraq’s federal government and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) have so far failed to yield an agreement on the distribution of oil rev- enues. A meeting was held in Baghdad Sunday aimed at resolving a longstanding dispute over the export of as much as 550,000 b/d of crude from the Kurdish region and the Kirkuk oil field in the north of Iraq.
