Valero wants to ship more Eagle Ford oil to Canada

Valero is working to expand its ability to ship Eagle Ford crude out of the US Gulf Coast to its 265,000 b/d refinery in Quebec City, Quebec, CEO and president Joe Gorder said Wednesday. In a speech at the Argus Crude Summit in Houston, Gorder said the company is expanding its ports at Corpus Christi, Texas, and will be able to ship 25,000 b/d of Eagle Ford production to its Canadian facility, with the possibility of expanding capacity to 50,000 b/d.
