US rig count falls by 43

Houston-The US rig count was 1,267 for the week ended February 27, down by 43 from the prior week, according to Baker Hughes. The latest count includes 1,216 land and 51 offshore, with 280 assigned to gas, 986 to oil and 1 to miscellaneous drilling. The rigs were drilling 194 vertical, 127 directional and 946 horizontal wells.
