New York-The NYMEX March ULSD futures contract settled sharply higher Friday, punctu- ating a week-long rally fueled by cold weather and refinery issues with a volatile day of trad- ing on the contract’s expiration date. ULSD futures for March delivery rose 20 cents right before the market’s close, but then pared the increase slightly to settle 16.31 cents higher at $2.2989/gal.
