Dubai—Saudi Aramco has awarded two contracts for the construction of an estimated $6 billion gas processing plant which will be critical to meeting the kingdom’s growing domestic power demand, sources close to the project said Tuesday. The awards, to Spain’s Tecnicas Reunidas and the UK’s Petrofac were the first of four engineering, procurement and construction packages tendered in January, the sources said.
