Calgary—Canada’s light oil industry will likely see consolidation of its junior players if WTI prices were to remain in the $60/b range over the next six to 12 months, the head of an industry association said Wednesday. “Some of our member producers, with output of 3,000 b/d to 5,000 b/d, are already struggling to raise capital,” Gary Leach, president of the Explorers and Producers Association of Canada, said on the sidelines of the 2015 EPAC Investor Showcase.
