BP to fast track Egypt’s Atoll gas field development

London—BP said Thursday it plans to start production of natural gas from the Atoll field offshore Egypt as soon as 2018, an accelerated project development to produce gas to feed the hungry domestic market. The UK major signed a heads of agreement Thursday with Egyptian oil minister Tarek El Molla for the acceleration of the development of the Atoll gas discovery.
