Houston-US natural gas in storage fell 198 Bcf to 1.512 Tcf for the week that ended Friday, March 6, the US Energy Information Administration said Thursday. The net withdrawal was greater than consen- sus expectations of a pull of 188 Bcf-192 Bcf. That the withdrawal estimate came in above market predictions was “likely due to suppressed production levels in the Gulf Coast Region due to freeze-offs and offshore maintenance,” Jeff Moore, an analyst with Platts unit Bentek Energy said.
