US EIA eyes April oil out- put hike from big shales

Houston-Oil production should jump slightly in five of the US' six biggest shale plays in April compared to March projections, the country's Energy Information Administration, the statistical arm of the Department of Ener- gy, said Tuesday. The EIA's monthly drilling productiv- ity report predicted the biggest oil output increase should come from the prolific Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas.
