Rio de Janeiro—Oil workers on board 35 offshore platforms operated by Brazilian national oil company Petrobras have joined a nationwide strike, affecting more than 400,000 b/d of output, union officials said Monday. According to the Sindipetro-NF union that represents workers in the Campos Basin, as of 2 am local time 22 platforms were completely shut down, eight were operating with output from wells reduced by between 20% and 97%, and five platforms were working with skeleton crews.
