Nigeria’s LNG plans face fresh delays

Lagos—Progress on Nigeria’s Brass LNG and OK-LNG projects has stalled as new investors have not yet been found to replace the four foreign partners which pulled out more than a year ago, state oil firm NNPC said Tuesday. NNPC has struggled to find investors that will take up the combine 53.5% equity relinquished by British Gas, Chevron and Shell in the two-train, 10 million mt/year OK-LNG project, and the 17% stake divested by US firm ConocoPhillips in two-train, 10 million mt/year Brass LNG.
